About

Dr. Tridib Sarma was born and brought up in Bhogpur, Assam, India. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in chemistry from “B. Borooah College, Guwahati, Assam”. Following his M.Sc. in chemistry with specialization in organic chemistry from “Gauhati University”, he joined the Panda group at University of Hyderabad, India in July 2007 and obtained his Ph.D. degree in chemistry in January 2014. He then joined “The University of Texas at Austin, USA” followed by “Centre for Supramolecular Chemistry and Catalysis, Shanghai University, Shanghai, China” and worked as a post-doctoral fellow with Prof. Jonathan L. Sessler from 2015 to 2020. His research interest includes design and exploration of novel porphyrinoids for application in photon therapy, non-linear optics, artificial photosynthesis and aromaticity.
